My roommates got me one of those little water fountains made for cats that don’t like still water (like me). I checked it out while they set it up, but didn’t need to try it out to make my ultimate decision: “no thanks.”

Yep, I’m gonna stick with the dripping faucet for now. However, if my cheapskate roomies ever shelled out for something like the Japanese waterfall in this video…that’s something I’d consider.

Isn’t this computer nifty? Since I’m a cat, my first inclination is to push the thing off a table to see how many pieces it would splinter off into. However, I can still appreciate it. The Spinal Tappish “none more black” look reminds me of an old NeXT computer. Cool.

Sometimes I won’t see Wubert for hours at a time. Most likely, he’s holed up in a closet somewhere snoring—and getting cat fuzz all over my clothes. However, no matter where he is (or what state he’s in) he’ll find his way to the kitchen whenever I start cooking.

I sometimes jokingly (I think) threaten him with a “Just in time, Wubert. We’re having cat stew tonight!” but he just ignores me. He knows I don’t mean it.

And that he’s too big to fit in the pot.

My new roommate is always pawing her way through books, so I thought I’d give ‘em a try. Though I was disappointed she didn’t have any “When Stuff Gets Attacked” books, I found a few that were semi-interesting.

Here’s another pic of me and the new roommate. She’s helpful in some ways (really good at keeping “the others” occupied when I need to make a dinner table run), not so helpful in others (repeat: a tail is not a handle!) All in all, she’s pretty cool for someone whose ears aren’t on top of her head, where they should be.

Wubert here. Long time, no typey-typey. To explain my absence: I became a big brother in 2007, and with that came a few extra responsibilities. So, instead of imparting wisdom on the interweb via my blog, I’ve been up to my fuzzy ears in watching the kid, making sure she doesn’t get into too much trouble (unless it’s to my benefit, of course!)

However, I’ve made a vow to start adding to this blog again (that, and watching more TV, eating more red meat, exercising less; you know, cat stuff). So, this is the start of the new, semi-improved, “Wubert the Siamese Cat” blog. Pretty cool, eh? Now excuse me while I rip open a bag of “Beefy Snaps” and watch a little Project Runway. =W=.

Please forgive the mess. I changed web hosts, then decided “Hey, since I’m changing web hosts, I may as well go ahead and do that Blogger –> Wordpress migration that I’ve been contemplating (during naps) for the last couple of years.”

So here we are.

Things should be set up within the next couple of days (hey, I’m a cat–these things take time when you don’t have thumbs.)
